Pop ArtSmith and church created some pop art to show the work of the
famous artist Andy Warhol. Here are four examples to show our work. First we took a picture of ourselves, then we cropped it on the computer. After that we printed it 4 times on a template. Finally we wrote our names in big bold writing and then coloured it in. Andy Warhol made the pop art that inspired us. It was of Marilyn Monroe in1967. Pop Art usually contains bold colours, sharp lines and a picture of something from popular culture that people see a lot. Harry, Riley. |
Louise Nevelson
Louise knew she wanted to be an artist at an early age, so she decided to fly to Germany
and studied Cubism art. She liked painting, sculpturing and printing.
In the 1940's she decided to go to New York and enrolled at the Art Students League.
She found Junk on the streets of New York to use. She began working with monochrome paint and assembled the sculpture pieces in groupings.
We thought Louise Nevelson's work was good so we gave it a go. First we went online and looked at her work. Then we went home and searched for found items. Next we went grabbed an empty iPad box and painted it completely silver. After we let the box dry we arranged the items in the box. After we were ready to glue and we carefully hot glued it on. Lastly we painted over the items, the same silver as the box.
We felt proud of ourselves.
