Cross Country
On the 16 of April 2013 Ashburton Borough schools, year 5 and 6 were getting
ready for their cross country running race opposite their school in the Riverside Industrial park. The race was on, the crowd was screaming as they whistled past on their first lap… It was over in a flash but this group of people will be very pleased with their results. |

Savannah -4th place for the 10 year old girls
Penny – 3rd place for the 9 year old girls
Danielle – 5th place for the 9 year old girls
Flynn – 1st place for the 9 year old boys
Charlie – 2nd place for the 9 year old boys
Timothy – 2nd place for the 10 year old boys
James – 3rd place for the 10 year old boys
Harry - 4th place for the 10 year old boys These are the ten people in room 14 that are going to counties next term! Everyone put in their best for their own race and everyone was a winner, it was an awesome day!

Athletics
On Tuesday 29th October Ashburton Borough School held their athletic sports day in the Ashburton Domain on a very hot and sunny day.Children competed in 6 different events which included Short and Long Sprints, Shot Put, Discus, High and Long Jump.
There was also 800m McPhail medal for those people who wanted to have a go and take part in it.
